Yan Vieites
Yan Vieites holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis on behavior and decision-making from FGV EBAPE (2021), a master's degree in Business Administration from FGV EBAPE (2017), and a bachelor's degree in Economics from UERJ (2015). He is currently an Assistant Professor of Marketing at FGV EBAPE, where he also serves as the coordinator of the Center for Behavioral Research (CBR).
His primary research interest is consumer psychology, with a particular focus on the behavioral consequences of poverty. His projects cover a wide range of topics, including charitable giving, sustainable behavior, food choices, and financial decision-making.
Over the past few years, he has received awards from the Association for Consumer Research (ACR Public-Purpose Dissertation Award), the Society for Consumer Psychology (Best Paper in the Theme Consumer Relevance Beyond Marketing), and the American Marketing Association (Brenda M. Derby Memorial Award), the three leading associations in consumer research.
His work has also been published in top Marketing and Psychology journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied.
